Early Treatment

The AAO (American Association of Orthodontists) recommends an examination of your children at the age of 7 years. Why? This is a great age to spot problems as they are developing.  These include issues such as crowding, over bites, underbites, and crossbites.

What are these, you ask? Feel free to see us for a complimentary exam.  Dr. Burke loves to explain these things and more. A child’s smile may look as if there are significant problems when things are actually okay. In other cases, outward appearances appear normal, but there are problems that can only be detected with a digital radiograph.
